As I have prommissed I have returned with some fresh information about Croatia. First of all you must know that in Croatia the official payment unit is the kuna with it's subdivision named lipa. But you can also pay in the most hotels and also to the private accomodation with euros. The conversion almost used is 7.2 kuna for 1 euro. If you change euros by a local bank, you get 7.27 kuna per 1 euro. Althrought you must pay attention to local exchange offices, because some of them charge up to 2% as a exchange tax.
Croatians accepts also all major cred cards, so you must not be worried if you have one. I used one a few weeks ago and I was sattisfied with the exchange rate from euros in kuna.
